Legal Services
As part of your IHCA membership, you have exclusive access to a legal services panel comprising suitably qualified and experienced law firms that are available to provide legal support to individual members or groups of members across a range of legal matters.
Your IHCA membership includes an initial consultation free of charge, subject to availability. This service is offered on the basis that there is a substantive legal issue to be reviewed and that all referrals and introductions are made under the auspices of the Association. If you wish to avail of this service, please contact Aidan O’Reilly by phone at (01) 298 9123 or by email at a.oreilly@ihca.ie.
The providers comprising the panel are listed below, together with details of their specialist areas of practice and professional biographies. Providers have been invited to participate on the basis of their relevant experience and familiarity with the employment and practice arrangements of Consultants, whether employed in the public sector, practising in the private sector, or both. Hourly rates and/or fixed fees will vary between providers depending on the nature and complexity of the legal service sought. In all instances, the Association has endeavoured to ensure that your status as a member of the IHCA affords you a discount, benefit, or preferential treatment that would not otherwise be available. Following your initial consultation, it will be your decision whether to engage a firm and become a client. At that point, you will be advised of the firm’s applicable rates and terms of business. Any legal costs arising thereafter will be the responsibility of the individual member.
Important Notice: Due Diligence and Member Responsibility
The Association has sought to ensure that all panel providers maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance, hold relevant accreditations, and are registered members of the Law Society. While every effort has been made to include reputable and experienced firms on the panel, members are reminded that the IHCA does not directly oversee or verify the individual advice or services provided. Members should consider their own personal and legal circumstances when selecting a provider and seek independent advice where necessary. Engagement with any provider is a private arrangement between the member and that provider. The IHCA cannot accept responsibility for the outcome of any advice or service received but aims to ensure that the panel serves as a helpful starting point in identifying trusted professional support.
