National Council
The National Council is the governing body of the Association. There are thirty members, twenty-five of whom are elected. The remaining five members are co-opted. The Council is comprised to ensure that it is representative of the geographic regions and all medical and surgical specialties. Elections are held every two years and members may be elected for a maximum of two consecutive terms.
IHCA National Officers
The Officers of the Association together with the immediate past President form the Council Executive or Focus Group. This Committee meets to expedite the business of the National Council, as and when required, between meetings of the Council.
