IHCA meets with Minister Simon Harris to discuss urgent priorities for Ireland’s hospitals

The Irish Hospital Consultants Association (IHCA) on Thursday 16 March met with the Minister for Health, Simon Harris TD to highlight the critical capacity and other constraints that afflict the health service. Dr Tom Ryan, President of the IHCA, highlighted the stark realities of clinical practice in the acute hospitals and the difficulties which consultants face in their attempts to provide care to an ever increasing number of critically ill patients without the necessary resources.
